First Day CRAZINESS!!!!!!!

Well, today was my first day back to work. I must say it started out okay. I did well when we dropped Bella off at the sitter's house. Bella was happy and smiling like she had been going there every day. I didn't cry (believe it or not). I welled up with tears, but refused to let my emotions get the best of me. Went to our opening meeting and all was well. Got to school and did a few things then went to lunch with the teachers. While we were at lunch I got a call from Aaron saying that dad had driven himself to the ER for chest pains. WHAT? Well, at least this time he didn't drive himself with blurred vision. He is a stubborn ole cuss. So naturally I freaked out and left school. Went to the ER and he was doing okay. Stayed there with him for most of the afternoon until the doctor came in and said it wasn't his heart but that they were going to keep him overnight for observations. Since I had so much work to do in my classroom I left and went back to school. I stopped and got some food on the way back (around 4:30) since I hadn't had a chance to eat ALL day! After I got back to school, ate, and found out what I had missed that afternoon I finally lost it. I had a HUGE melt down! I was crying like a baby about how overwhelmed I was/am about everything. My room isn't ready, Bella is going to the sitters now, and dad was in the hospital. What a great and memorable day!
Let's hope and pray for a better day tomorrow! A wonderful fun-filled day of meetings, trying to get my room ready, and open house tomorrow night. WOO HOO! Hoping this isn't a sign of how my 2009-2010 school year is going to be.

Bella's 4 month check-up

We took Bella to the doctor yesterday for her 4 month check-up. She won't actually be 4 months until next Wednesday (August 12th), but I go back to work on Monday (BOO!) so I wanted to get her in before that. The doctor said she looks GREAT! She STILL has thrush! That has been over 3 months! We were almost completely rid of it when it came back full force last week. So we are on round 4 of meds. Fun, fun! She weighs 13lbs 15ozs and is 23inches long. That is GREAT considering how small she was when she was born. She was barely on the growth chart when she was born and now she is in the 50th percentile! Well, except for height, but she has super short mom so I don't think she is going to be a giant or anything. Sorry Bella! AND she did great with her shots. Nothing like last time. I was so thankful. I think the extra meat on her chubby little thighs helped the shots not hurt so much.
More shots at her 6 month check-up in October. Fun, FUN!

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike
any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because... after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because... I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because... you did not spend the formative years of youth
growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because... you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because... you have never had military experience,
thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you... lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

You scare me because... for over half your life you have aligned yourself
with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly
denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because... you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America '
crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because... you want to change America to a European style
country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because... you want to replace our health care system with
a government controlled one.

You scare me because... you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing
on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because... you want to kill the American capitalist goose that
lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because... you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against
certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because... your own political party shrinks from challenging
you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because... you will not openly listen to or even consider
opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because... you falsely believe that you are both
omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because... the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because... you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs,
Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because... you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because... if you serve a second term I will probably not
feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.
